The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MoTI) and the Powell River Regional District (PRRD) have partnered to undertake a drainage study for Electoral Areas A, B, and C within the PRRD. The primary objective of this study is to identify areas where drainage management can be enhanced and explore measures to improve upon current risk management strategies for mitigating flooding.
Recommendations from this study will be used by the PRRD and MoTI to consider new or revised policies and bylaws to advance drainage management and reflect local priorities for watershed management. The questionnaire below is intended to gather local knowledge on values, priorities, and existing concerns to support the overall drainage study. Your answers will be used to direct the study, with the ultimate objective of developing a plan to promote protection of the public and the health of watersheds within the PRRD.
