On August 15, 2017, Sandstone Creek Properties Inc. (applicant) made a presentation to the Powell River Regional District Planning Committee, which can be viewed on webcast (click here).

On August 29, 2017, the Powell River Regional District received an application for an Official Community Plan (OCP) amendment to re-designated the property at 10577 Highway 101. The application is to re-designate the area south of the highway from Industrial to Suburban Residential, Commercial and Parks and Greenspace; and on the north side of the highway from Rural Residential to Low Density Residential, Institutional, and Parks and Greenspace in the Electoral Area C Official Community Plan, Bylaw N0. 467, 2012.

The OCP amendment staff report was received by the Planning Committee at the September 12, 2017 meeting. This report outlines the background of the application, details on proposed land uses, and next steps of the application process, including a public information meeting (see details below).
