CONTINUED PUBLIC CONSULTATION

As part of the public consultation process for the Southern Regional District OCP review, the Regional Board requested and received offers from SRD residents to participate in a series of Focus Group sessions. The people who have been selected to be on one of four Focus Groups are being notified directly.

The members of the Focus Groups are asked to attend an orientation meeting from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, 16th February, at the Kelly Creek Community School.
The role of the Focus Groups and their members, expectations and guidelines for participation and a question-and-answer period will be part of the orientation session.

The Focus Groups will be facilitated by Gerard LeBlanc and Kelly Gesner of Landworks Consultants Inc. The Group meetings – which are open to the public as observers – will also be held at the Kelly Creek School, on the following three Saturdays:
28th February, 14th March and 28th March.
Two groups will meet in the morning, and the remaining two groups in the afternoon, at the following times:

• 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Community Services & Infrastructure
   
• 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Housing & Residential Development
   
• 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Resources & Agriculture
   
  

• 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Environment & Economic Development

The results of the Focus Group meetings will be shared with the community at large in a subsequent Open House.
