Welcome to the Powell River Regional District’s on-line mapping.
The Powell River Regional District (“PRRD”) began developing its computer based mapping in 2006. In order to give the public access to this mapping and information, the PRRD entered into a contract with the Comox Valley Regional District to use their iMap platform to develop our on-line mapping.
Using iMap, the public can access property information, including house numbers and legal text as well as 2012 air photos for the populated area of our region (2011 for Lasqueti Island). Maps on the iMap site can be saved, printed and emailed.
This mapping has been compiled for your information and convenience using data derived from a number of different sources with varying levels of accuracy and precision. You are advised to verify all legal descriptions with the BC Land Title and Survey Authority. Should you find any errors, omissions or discrepancies in the map, please contact our office at 604 485-2260.
The mapping within the City of Powell River is being provided as a courtesy. Some of the mapping layers (2 metre contour) are not available for City properties. Contact the Engineering Department at the City of Powell River at 604 485-8604 with any questions regarding mapping layers within the City’s boundary.
Trouble Viewing IMap in Chrome? Google Chrome (v45) no longer supports the npapi plug-in that supports Silverlight applications, which means iMap will not work. If you wish to still use Chrome there is an extension you can download:
Microsoft Edge does not support Silverlight and iMap will not work. Unfortunately, as of March 7, 2017, the latest version of Firefox also removed support for Silverlight. iMap will work in Internet Explorer and Safari.
iMap supports Mac and all PC browsers. For help using iMap, select the “help” link once iMap has loaded. The help page explains the use of all the tools available to you. iMap is subject to many data updating processes and may be unavailable for short periods of time throughout the month. Cookies are used with iMap in order to save and restore map views. Please make sure that they are enabled for this site. If you block all cookies you will not be able to use iMap. A test will be completed on your computer before iMap launches to ensure that cookies can be saved.
