From time to time the Regional District also advertises for consultants or contractors to submit tenders or proposals for special projects. Employment opportunities and tenders are advertised in local papers and posted on our website.
The unionized employees of the qathet Regional District are represented by the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE Local 798).
TENDERS, REQUESTS FOR PROPOSAL AND BID OPPORTUNITIES
Land Use and Development Regulatory Options Feasibility Study
qathet Regional District invites you to participate in a Request for Proposal (RFP). This is strictly an invitation for proposals and not a tender call. From the RFP’s received, qathet Regional District will negotiate with a choice Proponent. Subsequent discussion and negotiations will be required to establish terms of any agreement or contractual obligations. qathet Regional District invites Proposals from qualified Proponents to complete a Land Use and Development Regulatory Options Feasibility Study. The scope of this Request for Proposal is intentionally open-ended. The Regional District is seeking a tailored Proposal to complete a feasibility study to identify options for potentially enhancing the Regional District’s legislative and regulatory framework for land management. The study will: assess the strengths and weaknesses of each option; assess the human resource and financial implications of each option; identify if options can be cost neutral; and, recommend appropriate phasing for option consideration and adoption.
